Answer

Article About Vintage Fashion Trend

To the surprise of many, vintage fashion has taken the modern fashion industry by storm and everyone ranging from the youth to the aging population is going for vintage fashion. Vintage fashion can be defined as the clothing which was produced between the 1920s and 1960s. This assignment will seek to explore some of the new concepts and aspects of the vintage fashion in the modern fashion industry.

Destroyed Denim is one of the vintage fashions that are back in the modern fashion industry with full force. Destroyed Denim is one of the oldest fashions in the market industry for both the males and the females (Veenstra, 2013). It is easy to spot this fashion from a far considering that it is unique and in most cases the pair of trouser in this jeans material is usually ripped off from its sides or both the back and the front. The fashion was very popular among the youths in the mid-90s especially after the production of the Nirvana music video where the artists were dressed in Destroyed Denim.

However, it is not easy to tell if the old fashion and clothes are back but it is easy to spot that the fashion is still trending in the current fashion market. It is worth mentioning that there are several new versions of Destroyed Denim, but one of the stand-out representations of this vintage fashion is The Mother Mended the Dropout Fray. This pair of jeans is light on stretch and heavy on distressing and makes an individual feel like she is still in the 1990s (Veenstra, 2013). Besides, it has bleach stains and ripped knees standout in any outfit but can be toned down with a white button down.

Footer notes

Slide 2

  • Of recent, criminal justice administration has been attracting more criticism from the public mainly because of their laxity when it comes to improving their performance to ensure there is a reduction of criminal cases if not totally eliminate them.
  • Often, the leadership of the justice system determines the culture which in turn influences the performance of the whole system and the organization by giving all other members of the organization the direction to follow to achieve their objectives and goals(Behn, 2014).

Slide 3

  • Administration of criminal justice requires the leaders to work closely with their employees to ensure that they share the burden of their work because of its nature which is stressful and dangerous.
  • Supportive leadership helps in improving the relationship between the leaders and the followers making their work environment-friendly and accommodative to accommodate all employees.
  • Through supportive leadership style, the leaders can assist in improving the employee performance in a fair and appropriate manner.

Slide 4

  • Participative culture allows the leaders to make decisions with the most feasible amount of participation from those affected by the decision made.
  • On the other hand, collaborative culture both the leader and the employee invests most of their time to build relations, handle conflicts that may arise in the course of their duties as well as create boundaries of their work in a constructive manner and shares control(Behn, 2014).
  • Collaboration and participation of the leaders and other stakeholders are crucial to ensuring that justice is administered to all who come seeking justice and fairness in the justice system of any country.

Slide 5

  • Cultural dimension is adopted in any justice system to ensure that individuals from different backgrounds can effectively communicate to share information that can help to administer justice and fairness while at the same time sharing ideas and concepts that can improve the system.
  • The justice system has the potential of influencing the culture of the society in a country or a region which should be based on fairness and justice to all people.
  • Moreover, cultural dimensions include attention to details, aggressiveness, and innovation in the bid to lead employees and followers motivation and produce favorable results.

Slide 6

  • Team building focuses on creating and developing activities that can be used to enhance the social relations in a team by adopting collaborative tasks.
  • Team building culture is important in the justice system since it helps to bind people together so that they can know each other and begin to develop the sense of a team(Cole, 2015).
  • Teamwork is important in improving both individual and team performance since the projects that are undertaken together help in knowing each other concerning their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Teamwork is essential in the administration of criminal justice for the attainment of the goals and objectives of the system.

Slide 7

  • This theory clearly states that good organizational behavior of the leaders should help their workers to achieve both organization and personal goals by showing them the right direction to follow.
  • In the vast criminal justice system, top leaders should be on the first line to help realize their life goals as well as perform their duties within the stipulated time and frame.
  • Path goals theory goes on to state that leaders should focus on assigning tasks and responsibilities based on workers abilities, capabilities, and talents.

Slide 8

  • Both the leaders and the followers should agree on terms of engagement before finally working together to ensure that both camps know their duties and responsibilities inside out.
  • The leader has the duties to give commands and directives to the workers who should follow precisely and finally receive rewards based on the performance of the job(Cole, 2015).
  • A good job should be rewarded to encourage better performance from the followers while incomplete and poorly done work should be punished according to avoid a repeat of such scenarios in the future.

Slide 9

  • Transformation organizational behavior should create value and positive change in an organization with the end goals of developing the employees and followers into future leaders who can be put in charge of the same or better organization.
  • Transformation organization behavior moves away from the norms of the organization by implementing new job process that makes working interesting.
  • Leaders in organization adopting this behavior should engage their followers, bring trust in the criminal justice system and create a connection to bring motivation and morality to improve the performance of the organization.

Slide 10

  • Often, strategic planning establishes an agreement between leaders, employees, and all stakeholders in the organization around intended outcomes and assess as well as adjusting the organizational processes to work towards the objectives of the system.
  • Strategic planning also ensures that the organization is organized in a such a way that it effectively and appropriately responds to dynamic changes within the environment(Blue-Howells, 2013).
  • A good strategic planning describes the current status of an organization, specify where it wants to go and how it will get there. Thus, strategic planning would be perfect for criminal justice

Slide 11

  • The key to managers is matching plan implementation to the type of objectives that their organizations and departments are out there to achieve.
  • Often planning is important for any organization as it helps to prepare an entity for the future through the setting of specific activities that needs to be accomplished by different stakeholders towards a common goal.
  • Moreover, planning helps to create and developing different activities hence prioritizing the available resources to ensure that they are used to the maximum.

Slide 12

  • A good planning process should always start with the establishment of the goals and objectives that the management of the organization finds them necessary to be fulfilled by the organization.
  • The second step that is necessary for the planning process involves the identification of the necessary resources meant to enable the organization to go all the way to the top and achieve their objectives and goals(Blue-Howells, 2013).
  • However, more emphasis should be put when prioritizing these goals with the most important and urgent goals coming first and gets more resources compared to other goals and objectives.

Slide 13

  • Statistics shows that the rich and those of high standards in the society are likely to support the work done by the police and those in the criminal justice system in general.
  • However, on the other hand, the poor and those of low social status in the community have continuously criticized the criminal justice system arguing that it is for the rich since they have the power to buy the police, prosecutors and the judges.
  • This has continued to taint the name and the reputation of our country’s criminal justice name making it look corrupt and incompetent.

Slide 14

  • Given the adventurous nature of the youths, they are likely to be the wrong side of the law compared to the old generation.
  • Moreover, the youths have the tendency of doing exactly what they were told not to do mostly for fun and out of peer pressure and end up in police hands.
  • Due to their confrontations with the law enforcers, they always rate them lowly unlike the older generation who feels that the judicial system and the police are doing great work to keep their streets safe(Johnson, 2015).

Slide 15

  • Racism involves discriminating and segregating other individuals based on their skin colors.
  • Over the years especially in the United States, there has been complaints of unfairness from the justice department where the blacks are mistreated by the white magistrates and in turn black magistrates mistreat white suspects.
  • Racism affects the transparency and accountability of both the police force and the judicial system, and it is the high time that leaders of the department of justice come out clean and impose strict rules and regulations regarding racism.

Fashion show review at Seoul Fashion Week

The level of competition in the fashion industry pushes the designers to the edge and to gain a better competitive position in the market, they have to show high levels of creativity while making their garments. SPRING-SUMMER/2017 KYE fashion show showed exactly what the designers are willing to do to please their customers as well as beat competition from other designers. KYE the leading designer in this fashion demonstrated how individual might use different clothes and emojis to explain their feelings to the world rather than use words. Given that each and individual we all want to be stars whether in real life or the internet, our clothing can take us to the levels and make us the stars we dream of (Biaett, 2015). Although most of the garments in the show were accompanied with pants that featured holes at the side of the hips particularly for the ladies, they can be worn in public especially during the spring and summer time.

It is worth noting that most of the garments displayed in this event had a collection of emojis which may not go down well with people of all ages. Moreover, the clothes left a large part of the body open especially for the ladies, and this may not be popular to all. Thus, to win the hearts of more customers he or she needs to design clothes that at least cover three-quarters of the body for the older generation as well as those individuals who have strict morals (Quinn, 2012).  The clothes may be popular among the youths who are ready to expose their body parts but may be very unpopular among elderly and married couples considering that they are protecting their reputation especially in front of their children.

Answer

AKEDO FASHION

Given the level of competition in the fashion industry, designers need to go a step further t0o create something unique that is hard to duplicate. It is correct to say that AKEDO fashion designers have succeeded in creating unique clothes that are not easy to come and not easy to duplicate. With their uniqueness, these designers have taken the South African fashion industry by storm, mainly because there is a section of the population that likes to be unique and to stand out among their peers (Turker, 2014).

AKEDO fashion designers largely focus on designing sophisticated and highly unusual designs. To remain at the top of the chart and to gain a better competitive position, these designers creates incredible, stand out weird clothing that is still wearable for the general public. However, some of the clothes designed by this fashion group have some vintage aspects in them despite made in this century. Most of their clothes seem to be oversized, containing multiple colors while a section of them contains pictures of animals such as ducks. Nevertheless, AKEDO does not only design garments, but also designs shoes that are meant to match these weird clothes they design. Most of their designs are inspired by the fact that they want to create and develop something practical that can be worn across all ages and easy to use for those who like simplicity. Notably, these fashion designers focus on women’s clothing by finding the balance between sophistication and crazy clothing, but any person wearing these clothes cannot be described as overtly classic or weird but can only be said to stand out among her friends (Turker, 2014). Despite looking weird, these clothes are classic and elegant and bring out the simplicity and craziness in an individual.

Answer

Delpozo Spring 2017

Delpozo’s designs are what one may refer to as contemporary designs, with no tinge of vintage fashion in them. The designs are just awesome, and a reflection of what creativity entails in the fashion industry. The Delpozo’s spring runway show in New York has exemplified the great talent of the mind behind the show, Josep Font. The Delpozo girls, as some called them, adorned beautiful dresses sewn in designs never seen before. The dresses and coats varied in their proportions – contrary to conventional designs, these dresses and coats had swells, dives, curves, arcs, and other unique shapes that mesmerized the huge audience that turned up (Anderson, 2016). That was not all, Delpozo girls adorned large chandelier-like earrings made of spangle. The earrings drooping down their earlobes added a bit of decorum to their dressing. Majority of the earrings match the dresses, while others are made to contrast or reflect one or more of the colors of the items worn.

The dresses were made in a myriad of designs, and with various embellishments on them. The opening dress was made of silky lame, had printed floral designs, and with pleating on the waist. In addition to these, the dress had tea-length hemline. Some of the designs had unique transparent features. For instance, there was a model with a layered skirt, and with a transparent outer sheer. Some dresses were tinged with gold, giving them the ultimate look. Josep Font draws inspiration from Joaquin Sorolla, a Spanish Impressionist, and Soo Sunny Park, a contemporary artist (Anderson, 2016). Font has promised a number of designs in the near future, such as nipped trousers. It will be interesting to see such a design come into reality.

Answer

FASHION  PROJECT

Fashion designing is one of the most rewarding professions in the globe today.  A design process and procedures widely focus on a series of creative activities that includes research, analysis and decision making. However, for any designer to remain at the top of the chart in this industry, they have to show unique creativity to design their goods. With the level of creativity and competition in the industry, some of the designers are turning on the world famous and unique structures for ideas of their next design. This new trend which is widely referred to as architectural fashion design requires the designer to be a constant observer and a creative thinker as well as a listener, a careful interpreter and a skillful craft individual to transform what he sees in the structures into his goods. A good architecture, fashion designer should be in a position to understand style, composition, balance as well as human emotions and perception of the target market towards a particular design (Chang, 2014). However, having all the tools of designing is not good enough to create the best design, and thus, there is the need for the designer to think, feel and create with his or her heart.

As a garment designer, my personal interest in the project is to understand various techniques that I can employ in my area of expertise to attract more customers. Being in the industry for over a decade now, my main focus is keeping my customers happy by creating and bringing new designs from time to time. As a result, I need to understand new tricks that I can use to create new designs for my garments given the fact the competition in the industry is very high, and there is a high rate at which garment fashion changes. My basic involvement with the project is to travel to various parts of the world taking pictures of the most iconic structures that I feel can be transformed into garment designs and bring them learning purposes. Different designers use different strategies to design their garments with the help of these structures and having such a project can help in educating one another on various tricks to use to come up with a perfect garment design.

Architecture can be an inspiration for a fashion design to come up with a perfect and unique design that can be used to design products. Despite appearing or being a surprise to most individuals, designers have and are still using ideas from old and contemporary architectures to get ideas for their new designs. At times, designers merely use the overall theme of the building of a new design while on other occasions the same design may decide to use details to come up with a new garment design. Some of the dimensions that should be used to evaluate the credibility of a garment should be architecture, sculpture and the space that the fashion occupies which often affects the overall form of the design (Yoon, 2016). It is worth noting that architecture, fashion design is an influential medium that can lead to a social trend both locally and internationally.

Some of the basic challenges faced in the course of this project include:

  1. The unwillingness of most of the designers to share what they know and the tricks and techniques they employ to come up with new garment designs. Some of them felt that by revealing how they design their clothes, they will be inviting more competition.
  2. Increased traveling costs – as stated earlier, architecture fashion design mainly focuses on design goods based on certain structures. As a result, the designer needs to travel to various parts of the world to see these architectures in person or take pictures which might be costly to some designers.

It took a lot of convincing and time to make sure that all designers are aware of the importance of the project considering that it was meant to be like a workshop or a seminar where people share what they do and what they go through which can be a lesson to others. By revealing how or what they use, can be a risk as well as a benefit since they learn from others. On the other hand, to cope with the rising transportation cost, the facilitators and sponsors of this project decided to have traveling agencies that would take pictures of specific architectures and later send them to be used in the designing as well as learning.

Depending on the attitude of the members present, the project can be described as a success. In my part, I learned that it is not a must for the designer to use the whole them to create a new design, but rather he or she can use both theme and the details of the architecture (Chang, 2014). Moreover, it was quite clear that for one to be a successful designer, an individual must draw or write the details of his design when an idea pops up in their minds to ensure that they don’t miss any finer details regarding the new design.

Answer

Spring-Summer/2017 Frugoletto-Fashion show review at Moscow Fashion Week

The Frugoletto collection by Raschini promises to introduce a new sense of style in the fashion industry. The designs borrow heavily from the classical Italian traditions associated with the Raschini House. The new wear collection features some handmade items as per the customers’ specific tastes and preferences. Raschini designs focus on children, with an emphasis on quality. The major goal is to develop accessories that are of high quality and which promise to overhaul entirely children’s wardrobe. The designs represent Raschini’s enthusiasm to turn even the wildest ideas into reality in order to satisfy the diverse customer needs. The brand is delivered worldwide, with customers from all over the world making orders for their children. Although this is an innovative idea whereby the customers makes request for exclusive designs, it is not without inherent challenges (Frugoletto, n.d).

Frugoletto by Raschini may be watered down by lack of innovativeness with regard to the designs. This is possible because majority of customers may only request for popular designs by other well-known designers. Although there could be changes to these new designs, most of the designs may simply be a regurgitation of previous designs in the fashion industry. As such, the individual approach to clothes designs may not lead to innovativeness. This will hinder the design of unique items and reduce the brand popularity. Thus, in as much as Frugoletto by Raschini emphasizes an individual approach, the brand should develop its own unique designs that are not the imaginations of its clients. This is what actually demonstrates innovativeness and creativity.

Influence of Culture on Japanese Fashion Industry

Influence of Culture on Japanese Fashion Industry

Influence of Culture on Japanese Fashion Industry

Japanese fashion industry is greatly influenced by traditions and culture. There ancient tradition wear is the kimono and obi. In their culture clothes were designed according to class, For example, the samurai class wore the kosode type of kimono which were tied with cords while the affluent class like kabuki wore long flowing kimonos. Although modern fashion trend keeps changing at alarming rate around the world, Japanese  have maintained  their designs which are based on the culture. For instance, in current Japanese wedding, all women are expected to adorn traditional kimono, this suffice the fact that culture strongly influences Japanese fashion industry (Clammer, 1995). Since 1960, the cloth designs has also been inspired by American pop culture  and technology (Morimoto and Chang, 2009).

Dressedundressed  is fashion industry brand that was founded in 2009 by Takeshi Kitazawa and Emiko Sato. They designed clothes, handbags and shoes which are unisex. There goal  in the industry is to combine various elements into their collection and still make them a simple wear. Japanese aesthetics is based on simplicity in beauty thus their cultural heritage has greatly  influenced dressed undressed designs. Also, masculine and feminine characteristics  are expressed in their clothings, in that the male attire has a sense of beauty while the female one brings out a strong and  independent character. The outcome of intergender  combination is dual sex and neutrality in their collection. American physcho and Gattaca movies  have also been a major influence in the brand.

Yoshikomono is a brand that makes  Kimono, It has been influenced greatly by music culture. The brand was created by a famous Japanese rock musician known as Yoshiki. They make printed  Kimonos and Obi wraps. As a rock star Yoshiki blends tradition and rock and roll music in his designs.  Yoshiki was inspired by rock music culture in making his designs.  Examples of another designer also influenced by music culture is Louis Vuitton.

Bedside drama are designs founded by Hiroshi Tanida and Emi Nishimoto. These designs are simple by nature and try to capture  the essence of fairytales. As its name suggests, Bedside drama has majored on pajama-like looks, lounge wear, rompers, leggings and sweatshirts. These clothes are accesorized by puppets, parasols and stuffed pieces a combination which gives these designs childish and easy-going looks. The brand design was inspired by the amount of time people spend sleeping. The designers insinuate that their aim was never to distract eyes from seeing small hints. Siamese shirt dress, scarfs made from furry animals are also featured in their collections (Godart,2012).

Timespan and globolisation has impacted morden fashion industry. Although all the named brands are unique and traditional based, Yoshikomono  brand is seen to be more conservative.

Dressundresses was inspired by a movie character who was portrayed as being an elite and a perfectionist. Therefore, we can conclude that pop culture also had an impact on their design. Yoshiki being a celebrity influenced her designs. Celebrities in the society are role models thus many people copy their style (Hansen, 2004). This  celebrity culture has made Yokishi products to be embraced widely hence leading to mass production of the designs. Music art which was a high cultured was the greatest influence on the brand.

Wool provides the versatility necessary to create items with various aspects such as warm, cool, tender, sever, soft, or hard. The duo designs unisex items, with black as their signature color. The tailored style, slim fits, wool materials, and black color that make the designs outstanding. Evolving from an underground streetwear brand to world-renowned fashion icons, the duo has cut a deep niche in the fashion industry.

In 2006, little known Hiroshi Tanida and Emi Nishimoto joined hands to create a world-famous fashion brand, referred to as “bedsidedrama.” Flash forward to 2010 when the duo experienced a breakthrough in the fashion industry by exhibiting their collection at Paris Fashion Week. In 2014, the duo saw another successful year by holding an exhibition at the Milan Fashion Week (“Amazon Fashion,” 2016b). It would be right to say that Tanida and Nishimoto are the most creative designers this fall – with unique and mesmerizing collections to their name. One of the collections is a Siamese shirtdress, designed for, as the name suggests, Siamese twins. The duo is also popular for turning furry animals into scarfs – of course by using quality faux fur. For instance, some of the collections have scarfs with dolls hanging loosely downwards from the bust region. Another collection features an onesie with a chain and a light ball attached.

Yoshikimono is another of the unique Japanese collections, which features contemporary designs by Yoshiki. Besides being one of the greatest Japanese designers, Yoshiki is an active songwriter, classic pianist and drummer. In 2011, Yoshiki introduced the Kimono brand. This was at an event in Asia Girls Explosion, an event held at Yoyogi National Stadium (“Amazon Fashion,” 2016c). This is one of Asia’s biggest fashion and music event. The line of clothing attempts to integrate classic Japanese regalia into the modern fashion sense. Yoshiki had dealt with Kimono designs previously, where he helped run a family business selling kimonos. After the collapse of the business, he relocated abroad. However, his love of the traditional regalia never faltered. After many years, Yoshiki found a way of fusing traditional kimono designs with modern styles, producing an amazing mix drawn from both worlds.
